Howe Bay House

Client: Kathleen Harris
Size: 2,400 sf
Cost: $ 650,000

Situated on the windswept shores of Howe Bay, the Howe Bay House is comprised of two rectangular blocks, rotated 90 degrees from one another in a cruciform plan leaving a void at their intersection. This volumetric move provides the inhabitants shelter from the northeast and northwest and opens a breezeway entry through the center of the house toward the ocean. The breezeway creates seperation and privacy between the family and guest quarters of the home. Large glazing faces the ocean with limited openings on the protective sides of the house.
