| The Ringwood Cottage sits protected in a grove of poplar trees overlooking the shining waters of Northumberland Strait. This cedar-shingled cottage was designed after the vernacular style of local barns. The wrap-a-round deck with the outdoor shower provides a transition between the natural outdoors and the rustic interior. Whitewashed walls and screen-front cabinet doors reinforce the casual, open nature of the sunny interior. Truly a sustainable building design, the home was built with previously used materials and equipment providing a quality of the past within a contemporary design context. Ringwood Cottage was a featured summer home in Canadian House and Home Magazine. |
